I’ve decided to go for it and give podcasting a try! To start I’ll be sharing my blog posts in podcast form, but in time I hope to expand to talk about all things books, writing, and vampires (I may even share some of my fiction). Go ahead and give the first episode a listen and let me know what you think…
(You can also follow this link directly to my channel and listen there.)

Fortunately, the last book I read (which is the third, and final one, in this series) was far better than the previous book. This works out because I still have a prequel to get through, and it’s much nicer to read a series when you’re actually, you know, enjoying it.
On a somewhat related note, I’ve been working steadily (if slowly) on my next novel, which will be a follow-up to Love Lies Bleeding. I’m pleased with the progress so far, and looking forward to sharing more updates (watch this space).
What are you reading (or writing) these days? Share in the comments…

It’s World Poetry Day today! Coming on the heels of the Spring Equinox, I was inspired by the myth of Persephone/Kore’s yearly return after her sojourn in the Underworld.
To Kore by Aspasía S. Bissas
Daughter, rise;
leave cold melancholy behind.
Reclaim your place in the sun.
Daffodils grow where you walk, and ivy.
And a crown of asphodel wheat, to remind you.
Daughter, rise;
leave cruel longing aside.
Ignore the echoes and run.
It smells of honey here, and daisies,
and a faint tang of pomegranate to remind you.
Have you been inspired to write any poetry lately? Share in the comments…

I suspect there’s going to be a lot of pessimists this year.
Happy New Year, everyone! Change is in the air– let’s hope it sweeps 2020 into oblivion…
