Considering how much of it exists in the world, it’s surprising (or maybe not) that blood banks are perpetually short of their key product. Blood and blood components are needed to help people with various medical conditions (including those with blood cancers), for surgery, and for emergency situations, like during childbirth or after a car accident. When there isn’t enough blood to go around, the consequences are devastating. So today’s post is to ask you to please consider donating blood, if you can– it takes only about 30 minutes. You’ll be rewarded with the warm sense of having done some good in the world (and a treat).

My mind was absolutely blown when I found out that cats could give blood too! Not that anyone would want Louis Catorze’s gross blood …

Lol I’m sure even Catorze’s blood is passable (probably). I think I read that cat blood types are fairly interchangeable, but dogs need their own specific blood type– and there are a lot of them.

No, Catorze has had every drug in creation. It would be like a human receiving a blood transfusion from Mick Jagger or someone!

Lol I’d totally accept blood from Keith Richards– he’s got some kind of magic in there keeping him going 😉 On a more serious note, taking medication doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t give blood (with a few exceptions). Just don’t want anyone feeling discouraged 🙂
