The thirst is endless,
the hunger to feel alive.
Eternal shadows, hunting.

This haiku was inspired by my favourite fiends (vampires, of course), but reading it over again I realized it could also be about the Vashta Nerada, one of the more terrifying creatures on Doctor Who. Feel free to picture either as you read.
