I’m happy to report that I finally got my covid booster (third shot, Moderna this time). No side effects at all other than a sore arm. I’ll keep getting boosters as long as it takes, if that’s what needs to be done. So far, at least 5.6 million people (and counting) have died from this disease, and the virus keeps mutating with every new infection (because that’s what viruses do). Yet there are still people who refuse to get vaccinated or even wear a mask (never mind the lowest of the low who are deliberately spreading misinformation). Keep caring, my friends, and stay safe…
Cheers,
Aspasía S. Bissas
Wonderful Quote for a life. And you really have a strong immunity because I got side effects after both my vaccines. By the way, I m glad to hear that you have completed your vaccination. Be safe.

Thank you– I’m glad you like it! I’m actually immunocompromised– I just got lucky that I didn’t have side effects. You stay safe too! 🙂

Excellent stuff! I had Astra Zeneca for my jabs and Pfizer for my booster. No real side effects either, save for a bit of a sore arm, that was easily manageable and a slight feeling that a cold was coming on…. Which went away after 24hrs.
Alas, there will always be idiots in the world though.

Thank you 🙂 Back in Uni I took a Canadian history course and the prof had written a book on the history of vaccines. I read it out of interest and was surprised to find that a fair bit of the book seemed to be devoted to convincing the reader that vaccines are good and safe. I remember thinking “who needs to be convinced of this?” Now I know, unfortunately.

Ironically, it seems the people that are anti-vaccinations are the ones who live in places where they are not needed (unlike countries where diseases such as rubella, malaria, measles, polio, smallpox and more are rife). I imagine they would feel different living in a place where modern healthcare was rare.

Apparently the people in those countries can’t believe anti-vaxxers exist. Who could blame them? I do have to point out that smallpox has been completely eradicated– thanks entirely to vaccines– other than a couple of samples in secure labs. We should all be grateful too.

Good to hear that you didn’t have any side effects! My younger brother got Moderna for his boost, and he went down with a fever — but he’s now fine.

Glad your brother is better now! I’ve been lucky, getting sore arms, and minor side effects only with the first shot.. But I hope everyone agrees that better side effects than covid. Stay safe…

Thank you! Just getting back to you as I already got the Moderna booster jab likewise.
Got inoculated on 5th February, but I had a fever the next day which lasted a the entire day. As of now, I’m only experiencing a slight soreness on my left arm – but nonetheless, I can function properly.

Excellent! Glad to hear the side effects weren’t too bad, either.
